More options for Backup/Synchronization
The Elements Organizer Backup/Synchronization icon in the status bar of Elements Organizer enables you to access
details such as warnings and conflicts, and resolve them. You can also view assets that are synchronized and
unsynchronized.
Click Elements Organizer Backup/Synchronization icon , and select one of the following options:
View Backed Up/Synchronized files Displays files that are backed up or synchronized. The Backup/Synchronized files
have the Backup/Sync completed icon attached to them.
View not Backed Up/Unsynchronized files Displays files that are not Backed up or unsynchronized. This list also
includes files in albums that are excluded from Backup/Synchronization, and files in albums that are unsupported for
Backup/Synchronization. Unsupported files include slide shows. Unsupported files are denoted by the icon,
.
View files pending Backup/Synchronization Displays files that are in the process of being backed up/synchronized.
View and Resolve Conflicts Enables you to view and resolve conflicts. For more information, see “Resolve conflicts
on page 125.
View Warnings Displays warnings.
Open Backup/Synchronization Preferences Displays the Backup/Synchronization Preferences dialog. For more
information, see
Backup/Synchronization Preferences” on page 122.
Synchronization icons
In the Media Browser, icons attached against media files indicate the status of the media files that are marked for
Backup/Synchronization. For information on Media Browser, see
Workspace” on page 4.
These icons act as indicators and enable you to determine the status of a media file that is marked for
Backup/Synchronization. The following table details the icons and their functionality:
Media Sync icons
When you mark an album for Backup/Synchronization, the live indicator icon is attached against the album in the
Albums panel. This icon contains a green indicator, indicating that the album is being backed up/synchronized.
Double-click this icon to view the Backup/Synchronization status of the album. Details of the media file (part of the
album) being uploaded is displayed.
View Backup/Synchronization activity status
Do one of the following:
Right-click/ctrl-click the Elements Organizer Backup/Synchronization Agent icon in the System Tray, and
select View backup/Synchronization status.
Icon Description
Pending icon
Live indicator. This icon indicates that the media is being Backed up/Synchronized. The movement of
the green indicator shows that the backup/Synchronization for the media file is pending. This icon can
also be found against an album marked for Backup/Synchronization in the Album panel.
Unsupported icon
This icon indicates that the media file is unsupported for Backup/Synchronization.
Excluded for Sync icon
This icon indicates that the media file is excluded from Backup/Synchronization. You can exclude a file
type from Backup/Synchronization Preferences dialog.
Completed
This icon indicated that the media file is Backed up/Synchronized.
